Crossing of the Alps
Last year I got a call from my friend Ron, who asked me, if I wanted to cross the Alps via the long-distance path E5 with him. I was excited and scared at the same time and had no idea how this would be like, cause I´m from the flattest region of Germany at the baltic sea. A lot of phone calls and outdoor clothing research nights later we found ourselfs in Oberstdorf to start our adventure. Besides some really sunny days we experienced heavy rainfalls on a mountain peak, ice-cold glacier lakes and foggy mornings in forests. It was exhausting, exhilarating, a little dangerous and overall incredibly beautiful to hike the almost 200km over the Alps from the Allgäu in Germany to Meran in Italy. In total we encountered over 24000 meters in height. For the photo geeks, I used a Fuji X-Pro2 with a 23mm lens.
